Andrew is founder and director of Polhawn Water Solutions with over 20 years’ experience in Legionella management and control.
As a senior member of the Water Management Society and educated to masters level Andrew has extensive experience in Legionella risk assessment and auditing of system types including domestic, evaporative cooling, spa and hydrotherapy pools across a wide range of property sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and retail. He is knowledgeable in sampling water systems for a range of parameters both routinely and diagnostically and has assisted a number of clients with improvement notices relating to Legionella control.
Andrew has extensive experience in delivering Legionella training courses both online and face to face with many years experience in designing and delivering training courses to individuals from all backgrounds and experience levels within the industry. This includes Legionella awareness and Role of the Responsible Person training as well as hands on practical training designed to assist site staff in completing their routine maintenance tasks effectively.
Holding many years’ experience of client and staff management Andrew, has attended and advised on local authority cooling tower inspections, sat on NHS Water Safety Groups, achieved and maintained membership of the Legionella Control Association (LCA), designed and delivered training courses on many water system types and produced Legionella management and control policies and written schemes of control.
